Agenda:
- To bring an Independent Voice to the School Board.
- To help foster trust and respect between all the stakeholders in the Canyons School District. (Students, parents, teachers, administrators, and community members.)
- Lobbying for the funds necessary to retain quality teachers, counselors, and administrators.
- Offering a wide range of courses and educational experiences for our students.
- Developing and maintaining outstanding programs that will meet the needs of our Gifted & Talented, Special Education, and At-Risk Students.
- Protecting the rights of teachers in having a voice in salary and personnel issues.
- Relying on sound expert advice when making capital improvements to existing facilities and building new schools.
- To represent the entire community in Precinct 3.
- Placing the education of our children as the Board's number one priority.
- To seek substantial pay increases for teachers.
- To keep and retain our best teachers, counselors and principals.
- Carefully evaluate the use of community development agreements and tax increment financing. Being very careful that these agreements are completed in the open, not showing favoritism towards developers, lawyers, and economic development agencies.
- To be fiscally responsible with the tax payers dollars in addressing the needs of the District.
- To make sure that all the members of the School Board are heard and given the opportunity to participate in the decision making process.
